About ISAC

ISAC has established as an independent, impartial and transparent accreditation system. As a not-for-profit accreditation body, decisions made by ISAC are not subject to any commercial or financial obligations. ISAC is internationally recognized and simultaneously ensuring measures to safeguard impartiality and objectivity of its accreditation process.

INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS accreditation COUNCIL (ISAC) provides accreditation to certification bodies for various management system schemes as per ISO/IEC 17021 including ISAC Human health care management system scheme and Green and Clean hospital management system scheme, Personnel certification bodies as per ISO/IEC 17024, Inspection bodies as per ISO/IEC 17020 based on assessment of their competence as per its criteria and in accordance with ISAC and international standards and guidelines. The ISAC schemes of accreditations for Testing and Calibration Laboratories as per ISO/IEC 17025, Medical imaging centers as per ISO 15189 and Certification bodies as per ISO/IEC 17065 is under revision and will be available for accreditation shortly.

What is Accreditation


Accreditation is the process in which certification of competency, authority or credibility has been met. Organization that issue certify third parties against official national or international standards are themselves formally accredited by accreditation bodies (ISAC or ISAL) hence they are some times known as “Accredited Certification Bodies). The accreditation process ensures that their certification practices are acceptable, typically meaning that they are competent to Test and certify third parties, behaving ethically and employ suitable quality assurance.


About ISAL



International Standards. Accreditation for Laboratory (ISAL) plays an important role in improving the business efficiency and competitiveness of local industries. Administered by the International Standards Accreditation Council (ISAC), the scheme accredits laboratories that conduct tests, calibrations and measurements in a spectrum of fields.
ISAL accredits calibration Laboratories to ISO/IEC Standard 17025. This accreditation demonstrates to the market place and to regulators that calibration laboratories have met the industry recognized requirements or measurement traceability and under go a program of periodic monitoring by ISAL.
